If you would like to become more involved in the chapter, joining a committee is the best place to start. Please use the form at the bottom of this page to indicate your volunteer interest.
- Awards Committee
This committee reviews the criteria for the National Awards and uses that criterion to nominate chapter members for various IAEE National Awards using IAEE.
- Bylaws & Policy Committee
This committee oversees the development of IAEE SE By-laws and policies are injunction with National IAEE’s polices.
- Community Service
This committee oversees the arrangement of all community service outings for the chapter, including a Board community service outing. Community Service is not exclusive to but should also support our designated chapter charity.
- Government Advocacy Committee
This committee assists to promote awareness of face-to-face exhibitors and events as the primary marketing medium for business development and growth opportunities; assist in promoting ‘Events mean Business’ in Washington DC for the SE Chapter and other advocacy initiatives that effect the hospitality industry such as Exhibitions Day.
- Industry Relations
This committee is responsible for the coordination of cross events and maintaining relations with other local industry groups (PCMA SE, MPI Georgia, GSAE, etc.) that will enhance the educational opportunities offered by the Chapter.
- Luncheon Education & Programs Committee
This committee is responsible for setting the education programs for our luncheons, arranging and setting all speakers & locations; to research and develop overall content for educational programs.
- Marketing, Website & Social Media Committee
This committee will communicate timely and accurate information to the membership regarding programs, social events, and overall member value through IAEE strategic initiatives; works with Chapter Administrator to create marketing material for all events. This committee also oversees the web site and provides ideas and content for the various platforms.
- Meetup & Special Events Committee
This committee is responsible for providing a strategy for building member loyalty and enthusiasm of the industry and chapter through special event activities annually; Works with YP Committee on National Meet Ups.
- Membership Engagement Committee
This committee is responsible for reaching out to all new members, to make them feel welcomed and informed about our chapter; assist in (lost) member retention and recruitment (potential new members) through overall membership outreach.
- SE Classic Education Committee
Assists in the planning, execution, and evaluation of IAEE SE's annual summer educational conference including destination choice, arranging and setting all speakers, and educational content for the SE Classic educational conference.
- Sponsorship & Strategic Partners Committee
This committee reviews current sponsorship opportunities and solicits and secures all sponsorship for our chapter; Provides valuable and unique sponsorships and advertising opportunities to sponsors.
- Student/ University Engagement Committee
Liaison with GSU, KSU, and UWG. Work with GSU student chapter and try to organize KSU and UWG.
- Young Professionals Committee
This committee is responsible for all things YP. It Provides focus on the needs of those who are at the beginning of their career paths; developing programs and opportunities that are especially valuable to those in career ascendancy and providing a social and professional support network for this important segment of IAEE SE Chapter members. This includes YP education, meetups, and promotion of chapter events to YPs. YPs are under thirty-five years of age.
